Notes from our Athletic Director

1. SPORTS PHYSICALS: For all High School Athletes that did not get their sports physical here at the school on 30 May 08 and for any new 7th Graders that intend on playing any sports, including cheerleading, during the school year, there will be FREE Physical Exams on Wednesday, 6 August 2008 at 2:00 PM here at the school in the Nurses office. A physical exam form will need to be completed by the parents and turned in at the time of the exam. The Exam form can be obtained from Mr. Lupacchino in the Athletic Office, room 213, from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. If Mr. Lupacchino is not in the office, the forms are in a folder on the wall outside office. For information, call 323-9953, ext 217.
2. SEASON BASKETBALL TICKETS: New Season Basketball tickets are now available for the upcoming basketball seasons. The ticket entitles you to 10 admissions to any Boys or Girls Varsity & JV games and also any Boys &or Girls Jr. High Games. The tickets cost $25.00 for adults and $8.00 for students. Also please note that starting this year that all Neumann students in grades 1 thru 12 will be required to pay a $1.00 admission to any basketball games, unless they purchase a season ticket, which would only average $0.80 cents per game. Adult admission without the season ticket is normally $4.00 for varsity games and $3.00 for Jr. High games. So there is a big savings if you purchase the season ticket.
3. PLAYERS NEEDED FOR GIRLS VARSITY TENNIS: There is a critical shortage of players for our Girls Varsity Tennis team and if any girls are interested in participating, please call the athletic office at 323-9953, ext 217 to register. If more girls do not sign up, we will have to cancel the program.
4. COACHES NEEDED: We are accepting applications for individuals interested in coaching in the following sports: GIRLS VARSITY TENNIS (Fall--Aug to Oct 08) ---- BOYS JR. HIGH (7/8 th Grade) BASKETBALL (Winter -- Dec 08 to Feb 09) ----- GIRLS ASSISTANT VARSITY SOCCER (Fall -- Aug to Oct 08). Interested individuals can contact Mr. Lupacchino in the Athletic Office at 323-9953, ext 217.
5. CARPENTER NEEDED: We are looking for a volunteer carpenter to build some shelves in the concession area of the gym. It only involves about 12-15 feet of space and about 3 or 4 levels of shelves and can be done at your convenience. If anybody has these skills and is willing to build the shelves, please contact Mr. Lupacchino at 323-9953, ext 217. You can even help yourself to the free soft drinks and the stale potato chips and candy that is still in the concession stand
