“Today’s Williamsport Sun-Gazette headline is misleading. The recommendation from the consultants to our Bishop was that we in Lycoming County “stay the course, strengthen and build”. Everything is consistent with the local three year plan. As we continue with the momentum in place, we will definitely consider building wings at potentially two of our campuses. The real study findings state that the plan needs local ownership of clergy and laity, and a combined Governance Board needs to be in place by the end of the first quarter of 2007.
Bishop Martino is very upbeat and is encouraging others, specifically those in Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties , to follow the leadership of Lycoming County . He is so very committed to Catholic Education in Lycoming Country and we are so fortunate to have him as Bishop.
