College Planning, Financial Aid & Scholarships
At St. John Neumann, our counselor helps students be successful in their academic path and prepare for meaningful careers in the field of their choice.  During a student's senior year, our guidance counselor meets with them several times to discuss post-secondary planning.  Our staff works to prepare our students with strategies and techniques for the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT), the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), and Advanced Placement exams.

At St. John Neumann Regional Academy, approximately 95% of our seniors pursue a college education.  One hundred percent of those that apply are accepted.

Memorandums of Understanding:
The Diocese of Scranton has signed Memorandums of Understanding with King's College, the University of Scranton and Misericordia University to offer graduates of St. John Neumann High School guaranteed admission and lucrative annual scholarships. Please contact our guidance office with questions about these opportunities.

Lock Haven University Dual Enrollment Program:
St. John Neumann Regional Academy is in a Dual Enrollment Program with Lock Haven University. The program allows our high school students to earn college credits. Most of Lock Haven University’s general education courses and some introductory level major courses are available. Upon successfully completing coursework, the student will earn college credits that will be applied to their LHU transcript. If the student decides to attend college elsewhere, LHU credits can be transferred.

Lycoming College Non-Degree Program:
St. John Neumann Regional Academy juniors and seniors can participate in Lycoming College's Non-Degree Program in which they may take general education courses and will receive college credit upon successful completion.

Penn College NOW:
This is a dual enrollment program that grants exceptional students the oportunity to earn Pennsylvania College of Technology credits during the school day. This program allows juniors and seniors to participate in a curriculum that stresses independent work and intense engagement that is more demanding and broader in scope than the traditional curriculum.

Interested students should contact Mrs. McPherson with any questions or to enroll.
