Fundraising Commitment Notice

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Thank you for choosing St. John Neumann Regional Academy for your child(ren) for the 2007-08 school year. In order to keep tuition rates as low as possible, we as St. John Neumann families, have a commitment to participate in Academy-wide fundraisers, as follows:
1. Every FAMILY will be required to sell or purchase 20 raffle tickets. The tickets will be $5.00 each, for a total family commitment of $100. Please budget accordingly for this expense.
2. In addition to the raffle, every FAMILY must make a volunteer time commitment of 20 hours to the school-wide system during the 2007/2008 school year. There are many areas in which to fulfill your family’s commitment. These are only a few:
a. Thursday Night Bingo at the Intermediate Franklin St. campus
b. Cafeteria Duty at any campus
c. Library at Intermediate and Primary campuses
d. Helping with other fundraisers, i.e. Basket Bonanza, Maroon & Gold Gala, Craft Fair, Nut Sale, Candy Sales.
e. Coaching an SJNRA team (sports, Odyssey of the Mind, etc.) without financial recompense
3. You may consider donating a basket to our Basket Bonanza Fundraiser. The basket will need to be worth at least $25.00 in value and each basket would count for 5 of your commitment hours. Effective this school year, we are limiting the number of baskets that each family may donate to TWO per family.
4. If you are unable to make a time commitment, families may choose to pay a “buy out” fee in the amount of $200.00. This represents a reduction of 50% from last year’s buy-out option. This is due by September 30, 2007. (Families receiving any type of tuition assistance do NOT have this option.) Families who choose the “buy out” will still be required to purchase or sell the 20 raffle tickets ($100).
5. Families are STRONGLY encouraged to participate in the SJNRA SC/TV (Shopping Certificate/Tuition Voucher) program through purchases of certificates for groceries and other local and national stores. The fundraising committee feels strongly that this particular fundraiser has an UNLIMITED potential to bring in thousands of dollars every year. PLEASE consider using this easy, cost-free way to support our school system!
We would appreciate your consideration of the above items. Please fill out the attached form and return it with your registration form. REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THIS FORM IS SIGNED AND DATED BY YOU AND RECEIVED IN AN SJNRA SCHOOL OFFICE.

2. BUY-OUT:
I cannot commit 20 volunteer hours, and therefore, do hereby agree to pay the sum of $200 to St. John Neumann Regional Academy on or before September 30, 2007. In addition, I understand that I must also sell 20 raffle tickets at $5.00 each or buy them outright at a cost of $100.
